Sonoma Zinfandel, Sonoma County, 2004
Our family began growing Zinfandel in 1895, when great-grandfather Edoardo Seghesio planted ten acres surrounding the family home in Sonoma County, California. Grandpa often said, Prune me poor and I'll make you rich! This implied that, when pruning a vine, leaving less wood produces fewer but higher quality grapes. Today, we still heed Edoardo's advice as we farm our vineyards. We combine a century of experience with innovative and selective farming practices to produce lush Zinfandel.
